Step 1 — Deploy the Robot into the Pipeline

The HMDA-PR100 features a compact, low-profile chassis measuring just 180mm in height, allowing it to navigate standard residential drain lines from 100mm diameter and above. Its self-leveling crawler platform automatically adjusts to pipe gradients up to 45°, ensuring stable traversal through horizontal and vertical transitions alike.

Step 2 — Navigate with Precision Control

Operators control the robot via a wired tether connected to the handheld monitor unit. The 50-meter cable reel provides ample reach for typical residential and light-commercial plumbing runs. Dual-track motors deliver smooth, proportional speed control from 0 to 15 meters per minute, while the integrated sonar module assists with navigation in water-filled pipes where visibility is limited.

The articulated camera head offers 270° pan and 180° tilt, giving operators a comprehensive view of every joint, bend, and obstruction without repositioning the robot.

Step 3 — Capture HD Inspection Footage

The forward-facing 2-megapixel HD camera captures crystal-clear video at 1080p resolution, illuminated by 12 high-intensity LED lights arranged in a ring around the lens. Automatic exposure compensation ensures consistent image quality whether inspecting dark clay pipes or reflective PVC lines.

All footage is recorded to an internal 128GB storage card and simultaneously streamed to the operator's monitor in real time. Built-in distance counters log the exact location of every defect, enabling precise repair targeting.

Step 4 — Generate Inspection Reports On-Site

Upon completing the survey, the HMDA-PR100's companion software compiles inspection data into a professional PDF report. The report includes timestamped video stills, defect annotations, pipe condition ratings per CISPI-322 standard, and GPS-tagged location data. Reports can be exported via USB or shared wirelessly with clients before leaving the job site.
